As the largest gadget shop in Langkawi – the island famously known for its beautiful coral reefs and sandy beaches in the Northwestern Malaysia, we are proud to announce to the world that today, we are now operating in four outlets serving more than a thousand customers!
THE BEGINNING
Gear Etc Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Gearz Gadget) was founded in 2015 by me, Rizal Ramli.
Growing up as a boy in this beautiful island called Langkawi teaches me the meaning of freedom and to always explore for new opportunities.
I always have a huge passion in electronic gadgets and personal gears. Although I used to run a few businesses myself but after so many ups and downs, I decided to pursue my passion and turn it into a mission. When everybody else only saw the boat and hotel businesses, I saw the opportunity to sell gears and gadgets and that is how the name Gearz Gadgets was born.
Gearz Gadget now has been recognized as the authorized dealers for Insta360, GoPro, DJI, Garmin, Yi and other big brands in Malaysia. I could have not done this without my team who are all eager to make Gearz Gadget as a well known brand in this industry.
THE JOURNEY
If you asked me, I would say that it’s not easy.
We started with just one physical outlet but thanks to the support and trust from our customers, we managed to expand our business into a total of three outlets now in Langkawi.
And to fulfil the demand and market outside of Langkawi, we have made a strategic move by opening our warehouse in Kangar, Perlis for our customers to buy our products easier.
We can proudly say that Gearz Gadget is now the No #1 Shop in Langkawi that sells gadget and electronic related products.
ACHIEVEMENT
We were honoured to be awarded as one of the authorized distributors for Insta360 in Malaysia – it’s our biggest achievement so far!
Now that our Gearz Gadgets webstore is up and running, we aim to be Malaysia’s No #1 gadgets dealer.
